4th of July in Chicago 2012Happy 4th of July in advance. I am hoping that you guys are waiting to celebrate 4th of July 2012 in Chicago. There are many events happening for 4th of July celebration in Chicago. Following are my top 5 things to do in Chicago on independence day.

Navy Pier Fireworks:
At Navy Pier, you can enjoy the best fireworks by lakefront for FREE. Fireworks at Navy Pier will begin at 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4, 2012. If you are at Navy Pier then you can enjoy the even with the music in the background. Also, same fireworks is scheduled for July 7, 2012 at 10:15 p.m. as well for entertainment.

Architecture Fireworks Cruise:
Shoreline Sightseeing architecture Fireworks cruise is scheduled to sail in all three branches of the Chicago river. You can enjoy great views of Chicago downtown during twilight. Architecture fireworks cruise ends in Chicago River mouth from where riders can view Navy Pier fireworks. You can also check other boat tours companies such as Seadog and Wendella Boats for extra options to view Navy Pier fireworks from the water.

Navy Pier Fireworks Kayak Paddles:
Adventure and watersports lovers can now enjoy kayaking in Lake Michigan and Chicago river. If you are one of those then consider taking “Kayak through the City” guided tour and enjoy fireworks from the water. 4th of July Celebration in Millennium Park:
Musical concert by Christopher Bell along with other favorites will be conducted in Millennium Park. This Grant Park Music festival concert is free of charge. Also on July 6 at 6:30 pm and July 7 at 7:30 pm you can enjoy festival’s 78th season featuring Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus.
