1. Uno Pizzeria & Grill
The Pizzeria Uno was originally started in 1943 and become popular with unique deep dish pizza in Chicago at the corner of Ohio & Wabash street in downtown Chicago. Each locations make fresh dough every morning.

2. Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria
For those who doesn’t know, Lou Malnati used to work at Pizzeria Uno before starting his new venture in 1971. Soon after starting his very first location in Lincolnwood, Lou Malnati’s franchise got expanded throughout Chicagoland serving deep dish pizza.
Lou Malnati’s deep dish pizza are made using California tomatoes and mozzarella cheese from Wisconsin. If you have not tried Lou Malnati’s deep dish pizza then I recommend their Chicago Classic pizza.

3. Giordano’s
Giordano’s deep dish pizza recipe is originally from small town near Torino, Italy. Brothers, Efren and Joseph, opened their very first location in 1974 on Chicago’s south side with their mother’s recipe of stuffed pizza called “Italian Easter Pie”.
Giordano’s deep dish pizza became very popular and even today it’s known for one of the best stuffed pizza. These stuffed deep dish pizza are made with California tomatoes and Wisconsin mozzarella cheese.
As of today, there are several Giordano’s pizza locations in Chicagoland area as well as nationwide. For those who doesn’t have Giordano’s deep dish pizza nearby can also order frozen pizza online.
4. Gino’s East
Gino’s East deep dish pizza was started in 1966, with secret recipe dough that makes Gino’s East deep dish pizza unique. These Chicago deep dish pizza are made with mozzarella cheese, toppings and tangy tomato sauce in cast iron pans. Their unique secret recipe and method of slow baking makes the pizza crust golden and flaky.

5. The Art of Pizza
The Art of Pizza’s deep dish pizza are made with fresh ingredients including Wisconsin Cheese and California vine-ripe tomatoes. The unique tomato sauce, full of flavors in combination with cheese flecked with dried oregano makes the deep dish pizza tasty.
The Art of Pizza’s stuffed pizza specialty, ART’S SPECIAL, is made with Sausage, onion, mushroom and green pepper.

6. Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Co.
Since 1972, Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Co. is serving pizza and sandwiches in a cozy basement restaurant located in Lincoln Park. These pizza are not traditional deep dish pizza, they call them “Pot Pies”.
At Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Co. pizza are baked with crust on top. I would say it is more like pizza bread bowls filled with sauce and cheese. These pizza pies are unique and has been attracting tourists.

7. Pizano’s
Rudy Malnati Sr., opened Pizzeria Uno in 1943, and made deep dish pizza popular among Chicagoans and nationwide. Later in 1991, Rudy Malnati Jr. started Pizano’s in Chicago. More than thin crust, deep dish pizza is Pizano’s specialty.
Pizano’s has total six locations, 5 out of 6 locations are in Chicagoland area and one location in Milwaukee, WI.
