If you do not like to walk in cold weather then you can buy one day pass for hop-on hop-off bus tour to enjoy the Christmas lighting during holiday season. Big bus hop-on hop-off tours have several drop-off / pick-up location near top attractions. You ride the bus for few hours in downtown and get off near your favorite attractions to spend some fun time. Big Bus hop-on hop-off tour is included with Go Chicago Card purchase.

It’s perfectly fine to be lazy this Thanksgiving and plan a family dinner at one of the restaurants in Chicago or do carryout. If you are planning to dine out then make sure to reserve a table in advance to make sure you get the best thanksgiving meal at your favorite restaurant. Especially, restaurants offering thanksgiving meal menu tends to get reserved quickly.
Overall, there are plenty of things to do in Chicago during holiday season. I insist on planning a list of few things to do during holidays in advance to have more fun and joy this holiday season!
