St. Lucia Festival of Lights

St. Lucia Festival of Lights is held at Andersonville. Event kicks off at the Swedish American Museum located at 5211 N Clark Street. The procession highlight is the appearance of the specially chosen “Lucia Girls” who will lead the crowd, wearing long white robes and beautiful crowns of candles and singing “The Lucia Song”. The St Lucia Festival of Lights features family entertainment by Dream Big Performing Arts, a telling of the Lucia legend and Swedish holiday treats. More info.

R Kelly Concert

Former football player, singer and songwriter, R Kelly, is coming to The Chicago Theater. He will be performing songs from his recent album “12 Nights of Christmas”. Concert: Lyric Opera and the Crèche

From Tiny Tim to the Ghosts of Christmases Past, Present, and Future, all of the beloved characters from A Christmas Carol finally get their chance to tell Scrooge what’s coming to him in words that Charles Dickens never even knew. Straying far from certain local productions of Dicken’s holiday classic, this irreverent and raucous show is the perfect anecdote for those who prefer a little more spice and a little less nice to their Xmases.
