Things to Do in Millennium Park in Summer 2019

Millennium Park is one of the popular attractions in Chicago, especially in summer season.  I would say, it is one of the busiest attractions in Chicago during summer. Millennium Park features Jay Pritzker Pavilion that host series of musical concerts and events through summer season.

In today’s post, I have tried to cover the list of things to do in Millennium Park including Music and Festival line up in Millennium Park and Jay Pritzker Pavilion scheduled for year 2019.

Things to Do in Millennium Park in Summer 2019

Chicago House Music Festival and Conference

Event Date: May 23 – May 25, 2019
This year the Chicago House Music Festival and Conference is scheduled for May 23rd through May 25th at Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park. Festival will feature live performances and Djs at the Chicago Cultural Center on May 23rd, followed by two day so free performances at Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park. Main performance at Jay Pritzker Pavilion will feature the Chicago debut of London’s Reel People, internationally renowned for their original soulful house compositions and collaborations.

Summer Workouts

Event Date: May 25 – August 31, 2019
Get fit this summer with free Summer Workouts on the Great Lawn in Millennium Park.

Every Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, between May 25th-August 31st, the Millennium Park will host 45 minutes workout with Pilates at 7 am, Yoga at 8 am, Tai Chi at 9 am and Zumba at 10 am.

Summer Workouts are produced by DCASE with grant support provided by McDonald’s Active Lifestyles Endowment, managed by the Millennium Park Foundation.

Chicago Gospel Music Festival

Event Date: May 31st – June 1st, 2019
Tradition of more than 80 years, the Chicago Gospel Music Festival features top gospel artists from different part of USA. It’s full of fun music festival, featuring gospel music mixed with hip-hop and house music in Millennium Park.

Millennium Park Summer Film Series

Event Date: June 4 – August 20, at 6:30pm on every Tuesday
Admission to the annual Millennium Park Summer Film Series is FREE. Seating is available in seating bowl or on the Lawn based on first come, first served rules. Whether you are visitor or locals, take advantage of this summer film series on Tuesdays to enjoy award-winning movies on 40feet LED screen at Jay Pritzker Pavilion.

Chicago Blues Festival

Event Date: June 7 – June 9, 2019
The Chicago Blues festival is the way of sharing our world famous Chicago-born music. Festival features R&B, soul, hip-hop and rock performers. The Chicago Blues Festival starts at 11:00 am at the Budweiser Crossroads Stage, the Visit Mississippi Juke Joint, the Front Porch and the Park Grill Stage.

Grant Park Music Festival

Event Date: Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays between June 12 – August 17
This annual music festival features popular award winning Orchestra and Chorus through summer season. Artists will be performing at Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park.

Millennium Park Summer Music Series

Event Date: June 13-August 15, 2019
Millennium Park Summer Music Series is scheduled on most Mondays and Thursdays, June 13 through August 15 at Jay Pritzker Pavilion, starting at 6:30pm.
This festival features free concerts showcasing local musicians.

Family Fun Festival

Event Date: June 24 – August 9, 2019
All summer long, families can participate in FREE Family Fun Festival in the tent at Chase Promenade North in Millennium Park. The festival features music, arts and crafts for kids of all ages. The Family Fun Festival is scheduled between June 24-August 9, 2019 between 10 am and 2 pm. It is one of the best things to do in Chicago with kids during summer.

Chicago Mariachi Festival

Event Date: June 30, 2019
Chicago Mariachi Festival is scheduled on June 30 at Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park. Admission to Festival is free. This Mariachi Festival is one of the largest Mariachi event in the USA, attracting more than 22,000 attendees.

Summer Dance Celebration

Event Date: August 24, 2019
Summer Dance celebration event is the place to enjoy different kinds of music and move your body. This year on August 24th, Summer Dance Celebration, the end of the summer event host a big party in Millennium Park for public to conclude the Summer Dance that happens throughout the city during summer season.

Chicago Jazz Festival

Event Date: August 29 – September 1, 2019
Chicago Jazz Festival will be held at several location throughout town including Millennium Park. Similar to Chicago Blues Festival, this Chicago Jazz Festival features local and international Jazz artists.

World Music Festival Chicago

Event Date: September 13 – September 29, 2019
World Music Festival in Chicago is scheduled in September throughout the city at various location including Jay Pritzker Pavilion in the Millennium Park. Enjoy international music to conclude the summer festival season in Chicago.

YAS! Fest – Youth Arts Showcase

Event Date: September 21, 2019
